I am terrible when it comes to drinking enough water everyday.
I know that I am supposed to drink at least 1/2 my body weight in water everyday… but most days I barely drink anything more than my daily cup (or two) of coffee.
It’s a bad habit and something that I desperately need to change but I am just not the biggest fan of plain water.
Even flavored water is no fun.
I try, seriously I do, but it just doesn’t sound appetizing to me.
My husband is the same way. He will pick up a can of soda before he decides to drink any water.
Even when he says he is really thirsty.
I am not quite to that point and hopefully will never be because I’m not much of a soda drinker either.
I think it’s a little weird that he chooses soda first when thirsty because when I am really thirsty I’ll drink a big glass of water, usually about 20 oz in a single chug.
However, it’s still not the first thing I think of when I want something to drink.
It’s a terrible habit that I need to try and break. I don’t know why it’s so hard, I have kids that drink water like it’s going out of style.
I should just try and make it a game… maybe that’ll help?
Currently, when I’m looking for a drink I’d rather have juice or something that has flavor. Like this beautiful cherry lemonade. I don’t think it even lasted more than a day in our house.
My daughter chugged about 2 glasses before I was even finished shooting these images and then I downed the one in the photo when I was done.
Definitely something that I will be making more of!
And who knows… maybe this little water game will help me drink more water?
