It’s the weekend… and I decided to do a 3 day cleanse. Bad Idea.
I haven’t done a refresh, or cleanse if you will, in a long time and I figured it was time. Plus, I’m heading to coach summit in less than a month and I wanted a little boost in my fitness results and needed help to clean up my nutrition lately (that has been horrible).
My original though process was, “Well, the hubby isn’t going to be home all weekend or for the rest of the week so I’ll go ahead and do it now.”
For me, it’s definitely much easier to complete a cleanse when the husband isn’t around and all I have to do is feed the kiddos. Just make some dinner for them and then drink my shake and eat my veggie dinner.
Simple.
Well, I don’t do very well on cleanses. I begin to crave everything that I am not supposed to have and then feel the need to eat it all until I am stuffed and bloated beyond words.
Why is that? Is it just me?
But I’m holding strong… it’s only the start of day 2 of 3… and I’m doing pretty well. I mean, come on… it’s only 3 days! I can last, I can last, I can do it! Haha
Since I’m on this cleanse, I figured today I would share with you one of my favorite new protein shake recipes, since that is basically what I have been drinking all day yesterday and today.
My Vanilla Chai Protein Shake.
It’s made from the chai concentrate that I made a little while back and tastes just like a frozen chai tea latte!
Of course, if you do not have chai concentrate or do not want to make it, you can just use a regular chai tea bag and steep it according to package directions before adding it to the shake.
