It’s been almost 3 years (gasp!) since I’ve shared a beauty post! But I’m back today to share my current favorite beauty products with you!
I’ve never been tied to one particular brand when it comes to beauty products. I really love finding and trying new ones every once in a while because I still have not found the all-elusive product that does everything that I want it to and does it well.
I started using moisturizers and eye creams back in my early twenties to try and stave off ageing as long as I could and I think I’ve done a decent job so far. I dunno… maybe not. I’ve still got a few fine lines and dark under-eye circles that I’d love to get rid of.
I’ve tried many different beauty products to treat all different kinds of things as I’ve aged and my skin has changed from having all my kids.
However, I would love to find a regimen that works like it claims, without making me break out, and without me having to switch products every few months because it’s not working anymore… oh, and also doesn’t break the bank.
I’m sure this list will change again in a few months because my skin will change again after having this baby and I’ll need to find something else that works once these are gone, so I’m sure I’ll be making another post about that. Haha
For now, these are all my favorites or things that I currently use on a day-to-day basis.
I actually got this exfoliant in a past FabFitFun Box I received and I never thought I would actually use it. I stuck it in the shower on the off chance I would and I did one day and it made my skin feel amazing. I have been using it every 3-4 days ever since and I absolutely love it. It gives a subtle exfoliation and leaves my skin glowing and not dried out or peeling or flaking like some other exfoliants have before. My bottle is almost gone now and I’m definitely going to be ordering more.
I started using this product after the previous product I used was discontinued and I couldn’t find it anymore. I don’t need anything with acne treatment, since I haven’t suffered from acne in years, and I just wanted a simple cleanser that did the job of taking of my makeup and washing my face in one product. Momma ain’t got time for makeup remover then washing – haha – that’s just too many steps.
Since I fell in love with the Aveeno face cleanser, I decided to try their face wipes as well. I use these on the days when I don’t wear a lot of makeup or I don’t wear any makeup at all. I’ll use these to get the days grime off my face and make me feel clean before bed and provide a clean slate before applying my moisturizer and eye cream.
These are also great first thing in the morning to wipe my face and feel clean and refreshed after sleeping all night.
I’ve actually been using this moisturizer for a little while now and I can’t quite tell if it’s working or not. I love that it’s lightweight and doesn’t have a strong scent because both of those things are a big “no” for me. I do feel that the deep wrinkles in my forehead (that I’ve had for as long as I can remember) are getting smaller… so maybe it’s working? I still have like 1/2 bottle left so we’ll see how I feel about it once it’s gone and if I buy more or search for something new.
This is actually the third tube of this that I’ve bought and probably the longest time I’ve stuck with one particular brand without switching, so it must be doing something right. Once again, I love it’s lightweight feel and how easy it glides on and soaks into my skin. I guess since I’ve stuck with it this long, I must feel like it’s doing what it’s supposed to. I’m not sure if it’s actually reversing my eye lines or just preventing them from getting any bigger. Either way, I’m a fan and I’ll stick with it for a little while longer.
On a photoshoot recently with Chelsea I realized how terrible my under-eye bags were. Well, I might be exaggerating but they do bother me and they always have. So I did a little research and picked this up on a recent trip to the grocery store. I’ve only been using it for about a week or so but I think it might be working.
Since I have two eye creams that do two different things, I use this during the day and the Neutrogena at night.
Like I said before, I would love to find something that lightened my under eye luggage bags and the fins lines I’m starting to get all in one product, so if you have any suggestions definitely let me know. But for now, this works for me.
This is not an everyday product for me. I only use this when I wear makeup… which is like 2-3 times a week, at best. But I love this primer because it’s lightweight and helps my CC cream “foundation” glide on easily and smoothly without settling into any lines or large pores I may have.
