Happy end of December, my friends! I cannot believe that another year has come and gone and we are just days away from 2019! I say this every year, and I will continue to say it because it is just so true… the years just keep going by faster and faster the older I get.
If only I could slow down time for a little while.
Anyway, here we are at the end of another month and you know what that means: time for the last Fab Finds post of 2018! It’s hard to believe that I’ve done 1 of these each month this year. Also the fact that I did much more shopping this year than I do most year. Or maybe I think that because this is the first time I actually documented how much shopping I’ve actually done and truthfully it’s always this much?
Haha… I have no idea but whatevs.
This month is all about the cozy sweaters and jackets with the Michigan winter starting to show its ugly head. Even though it hasn’t snowed much yet this year I know that we are just in for a dumping soon enough and I want to be prepared. Though I am totally already ready for winter to be over, to be honest.
So let’s go… everything added to my closet this month.
I have been eyeing this coat for YEARS. This year I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase it. I have no words for the amazingness that is this coat. It is so soft and warm yet still beautiful and stylish and goes with any outfit. It does run large so size down if you decide to grab it too.
For as long as I’ve lived in Michigan, I actually don’t have many sweaters… believe it or not. I was preggos for 2 of the 5 that we have been here and postpartum for one of them. Then of course your body changes and you don’t fit into many of the pre-preggo clothes so you need different things to wear for the other 2 years. This sweater is so soft and I love the blush pink color.
I think one of the reasons I don’t have many sweaters, besides being preggos is that I don’t particularly like long-sleeved things. Product of growing up in Florida? I just usually can never find things with sleeves long enough to make me happy. Enter this 3/4 sleeve sweater. It’s super soft and the rusty red color is just gorgeous for fall and winter season.
Since I work at home, I don’t usually get dressed that often. In an attempt to change that I decided to try some more tunic type shirts and sweaters to wear with leggings so I can sort of feel like I got dressed for the day without really having to put in a huge amount of effort. Plus, this sweater keeps me nice and toasty while working in my freezing basement.
I really wanted to love this sweater because it was unbelievably soft, however, I just could not. The arms ended up being too short for my liking and even though sized up 2 sizes it was still much too tight.
I’ve been seeing velvet leggings all over this season so I decided to grab a pair. These are from Amazon and they are amazing! They have just the right amount of stretch but also not see though when you put them on. Win-win.
Like I said above, I’ve been wanting to start getting dressed more often instead of just being in my PJ’s all day (my poor hubby) and looking like a hot mess. So I ordered a few of these yoga pants to wear with tunics and I couldn’t be happier. I’m definitely going to be ordering more colors.
I have been putting off jumping on the OTK boot band-wagon for years but finally decided to grab some to see if I actually like them. You guys, I fell in love. These boots are so amazing and look so flattering on. I love love them and have actually planned my NYE outfit around them… haha!
