Homemade whipped cream is unbelievably simple to make.
I used to always think that it was a long a laborious process filled with a bunch of steps and whatnot.
For this reason, whenever I needed whipped cream, I would always just pick up a jar or can at the grocery store.
Whelp… no more, my friends! I found out it is seriously one of the most simple recipes to make and makes me wonder why I even used to buy the frozen, chemical-filled crap before.
And you don’t have to buy the stuff either… just grab a pint of heavy whipping cream (duh moment) and blend it together with a little vanilla and sugar and you’ve got some instant whipped cream!
Even tastes better than the can or tub or whatever container it comes in.
Homemade Whipped Cream
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
- In a large bowl, whip cream with stand mixer or beaters until stiff peaks are just about to form.
- Add vanilla and sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Make sure not to over-beat, cream will then become lumpy and butter-like.
- Use to top your favorite drinks or desserts.
