November has come and gone in the blink of an eye and here we are with another round of my monthly finds! Everything that has made it into my closet this month.
Looking back on the year I realized that I’ve done a lot of shopping but I also realized after cleaning and organizing my closet that I don’t have many quality pieces. Most of it is old and falling apart after having it for years or they’re new but not something that I see myself wearing anymore after having all my kiddos. It’s crazy how your style changes after having kids and/or just getting older and realizing what works for you and what doesn’t.
I’m also really lacking in the sweater department… despite living in Michigan where it snows for 4-5 months out of the year.
Anyway, after finally having my last baby and finally finding out what works for my body and what doesn’t, I’ve been needing to fill my closet with pieces that I love again. It makes me want to get dressed up when I head out the door instead of just pulling on leggings and a t-shirt for everything.
With that being said… there is one more month of finds for you in December. For now, here’s everything that I found in November!
Ever since I finally got my sequin leggings last winter, I have been on the hunt for the perfect black sweater to wear with them. This one is it. It’s off-shoulder and covers just enough of the bum for leggings but leaves a little more for the imagination. I absolutely love it and cannot wait to wear it this NYE coming up. Yep… I’ve already got my holiday outfit planned. Now I just need to find the perfect shoes…
This was the original sweater I bought to go with the sequin leggings and while I absolutely love it, it’s a little too long for what I wanted. Though I did keep it because it’s so soft and it goes perfectly with just about everything else including the leather leggings that I bought last month.
I have had the same black cardigan for-ev-er so I thought it was time to invest in a new one. I mean, I love cardigans but how have I not bought myself a new black one when I have literally every other color under the sun? This one also comes in about 4 other colors and I debating on purchasing the camel color one, too.
I bought this with the cardigan above mainly to get the free shipping but then ended up really liking it. It’s a thinner knit and not really a sweater but more of a thicker long-sleeve shirt material. But the grey color is beautiful and goes with almost everything that you pair it with.
Express is one of my favorite stores and I have just about every style that they make in my closet in some color or another… though these t-shirts are new to me. I love how lightweight it is but not see through. Also it’s a great leggings shirt because it’s long enough to cover the bum and can also be layered under a cardigan for a cute casual look.
I was still on the hunt for the perfect sweater for my sequin leggings when my sister found this at Nordstrom Rack. Now, she’s in Florida and I’m in Michigan so she sent me a text wearing it and I told her to buy it for me and bring it to Napa with her. It turned out to not be great for my sequin leggings but it is a perfect throw-and-go shirt.
After re-doing my shoe closet, I realized that I didn’t have many black shoes. Which is weird because when they were all in boxes I totally thought I had too many black shoes and not any brown shoes! It turned out to be the opposite and I actually have a ton of brown shoes but barely any black. Anyway, these were purchased because I loved the laser cut details and the heel height is similar to my favorite brown ones.
I went to TJ Maxx just to get out of the house and I found a very similar bag to this. The only difference is that bag that I found is all black with hot pink handles (seen here). I fell in love as soon as I saw it (even though we all know that I do not need another travel bag) and have been using it for everything… blog outfit shoot, bring the bag for all my clothes and shoes… going on Vacation, bring the bag as my carry-on. It’s perfect.
There it is… everything that made it into my closet the past month! What did you find that you love?
