You guys! It’s been a solid 6 months since I last posted anything fashion related but I’m back today with my current postpartum style. I mean, the last fashion post I did was back when I was still pregnant. Yikes!
Since I had Aidan, I’ve been working hard to lose the baby weight. I just gained way too much having three kids in 4 years and it’s been hard to lose the weight.
When I hit my final day being pregnant with Aidan I was at the heaviest weight I had ever been in my life. After having him and being cleared to workout again… I realized I had a whopping 60lbs lose!
As soon as I was cleared I started the 21 Day Fix, then moved onto 21 Day Fix Extreme, and now I’m close to finishing 80 Day Obsession. I absolutely love 80 Day Obsession and have already lost so much weight and am finally starting to see my muscles come back. So excited to get my toned arms back!
However, I’m embracing this new postpartum body that I have and learning how to dress it properly now while I’m on my fitness journey. Instead of falling into the trap of ratty t-shirt and leggings until all my pre-4-kids clothes fit again, I’m buying clothes that fit and flatter my body.
Plus, after going through my closet recently, I don’t think I’m want to wear any of those old jeans from before. Back then everything was super low rise and I hated it all. I constantly felt like I was pulling my pants up just from walking in the grocery store. So I’m definitely thankful that mid- and high-rise are all over now.
So let’s talk about these jeans. I recently re-discovered Abercrombie from my sister and I fell in love with their jeans. They are all so soft, true to size, and come in so many great washes and colors. This pair that I’m wearing is a mid-rise (even though they say low rise) and sit right below my belly button. They stretch in all the right places but with the height of the rise they suck you in where I need it also. I will be buying all the Abercrombie jeans from now on.
This simple black sweater my sister found while shopping for our upcoming Napa trip and I told her to buy me one too. It’s super lightweight, but not thin, so perfect for the fall and layered under a coat for winter. And it’s actually long enough to pair with leggings for a more casual look and quick trip to the grocery store.
Lastly, these sneakers… I found these this past summer while I was pregnant. I needed a new pair because my old ones were falling apart. I bought slip-ons because I couldn’t bend down to tie my shoes but these are so comfortable that I only wear these ones now. I also went back and bought them in the other 2 colors they had. Bye bye laces.
