You guys! I am going to Napa and I am so excited! I leave in less than 5 days and I am starting to feel all the pre-trip jitters and anxiety that I get before vacation.
I am beyond the moon excited for this trip though. I have been planning it with my sister and SIL since June and it is finally here.
A little backstory – right around the end of June I realized that this year my mom was turning 60! I decided that my amazing mom deserved an equally amazing birthday so I texted my sisters and we started brainstorming places to take her and things to do. All of us have always wanted to go to Napa and thought it would make the perfect 60th birthday trip for her.
I have been planning everything down to where we are going to eat, what wineries we are going to, the hotel, everything. I have booked all the plane tickets too and she has NO idea what is happening or where she is going.
I sent her a birthday card that just said to pack for a trip and you’ll meet someone at the airport… little does she know that she’s meeting my sister and SIL at the airport and then when she lands in San Fran I’ll be there waiting at the gate for her!
Ahh! This is going to be so epic! Don’t worry… I plan on sharing all the details about the trip here once we get back.
For now I thought I would share what I plan on wearing on the plane.
Usually when I’m heading out of town, I like to make sure that I look cute and put together so I don’t have to change when I get to the airport. Most of the time I usually book an early morning flight to the destination so we have the first full day there. That usually means that we have places to go and things to do as soon as we land so I always make sure to dress well but still comfortable (and warm) for the plane ride.
This outfit is one of my go-to combos: basic cami with cardigan, crop jeans, and the most comfortable booties ever.
I found this cardigan at TJ Maxx recently and swiped it up without even trying it on. It’s so soft and keeps me warm but also lightweight enough to not make me too hot. I just layered it over this simple scallop edge cami from J. Crew Factory that I love and adds a fun little detail to an otherwise boring cami.
My jeans are my new favorite Abercrombie jeans that I paired with my new favorite booties. The jeans are so stretchy but hold their shape for days! The booties I found at a local shop in downtown and have the perfect block heel that I can seriously walk all day in.
Anyway, this is just one version of the many different travel outfits that I have and now that we’re doing more traveling, I’ll have tons more to share with you.
Stay tuned for all of those and my Napa recap coming soon! I am so frickin excited.
