P90X Day 1 – First Blog!

Hey everyone! I finally have time to sit down a write about something! Today is day 9 of my second P90X journey and I am starting to see results! I am down 2lbs in 1 week because of P90X and Shakeology!

P90X Day 1 - First Blog!

I originally started P90X, INSANITY, and Brazil Butt Lift back in May of this year. I wasn’t as diligent as I should have been with the workouts and my eating habits were even worse. I did *most* of the workout during the day, after work, with my friend Sarah. We started with P90X back in May and did the Classic version for 4 weeks. We both though we would see results right away because we were definitely SORE!! The only problem was, was that I did not change my eating habits or the amount of food I was eating. It was really hard not to say “no” to the free food that they brought to work ALL THE TIME! I was really disappointed and so instead of changing my eating habits (which I should have done) I decided to change the workout program.

We switched to INSANITY… HOLY COW!!! I thought that the all cardio workout would work off all that *bad* food I was eating and then I would start seeing results… I was WRONG! The only thing it did was prevent me from gaining any weight, which I guess was nice, but I was getting distressed. I was getting angry that I wasn’t seeing any results with these workouts that SO MANY people saw results with. We did INSANITY for 4 weeks… the only change I saw was my cardio tolerance was getting better and my thighs were getting BIGGER! Not what I wanted, I wanted to slim down not bulk up! Still, yet, I did not really think anything of my eating habits and switched programs again.

This time I switched to Brazil Butt Lift… this one is FUN. Sarah and I did that for about 2 weeks before I found out I had to move across the country again. Let me tell you, my butt was NEVER more sore than when I did the “rainbow move.” Who would’ve thought that a move called the “rainbow” would make you that sore. I still didn’t see any results because I still had poor eating habits.

I stopped working out because I had so much other stuff to do and couldn’t fit working out into my busy schedule of work, picking up my daughter, packing, etc. Looking back now, I could’ve done at least 30 minutes but I kept giving my self excuse after excuse after excuse. I moved from Tampa, FL to Phoenix, AZ to Bluffton, SC all within about a year and a half. After taking the 34 hour drive from Phoenix to Bluffton to get our new house, we went on a 6 week vacation in Florida with our families. Of course, during vacation no one wants to workout and I still kept feeding myself excuses.

I am finally all settled in and have started my workout routine again. This time I am watching what I eat and not putting all that greasy, nasty stuff in my body. I started using Shakeology meal replacement as my breakfast because sometimes I just don’t feel like making a healthy breakfast. Shakeology is SUPER YUMMY and HEALTHY and I can whip it up in just a few seconds. This time I am following the Lean version of P90X, so we’ll see where I get with it. Like I mentioned in the beginning, it’s Day 9 and I have already lost 2lbs (I haven’t done measurements, I don’t want to be disappointed so I’m waiting till after week 2) already!
