Thai Iced Coffee Protein Shake

Have you ever tried Thai iced coffee before?

If you haven’t you are seriously missing out. I am obsessed with Thai iced coffee and try and order it at any chance I can get.

Which, unfortunately, isn’t that often.

Thai Iced Coffee Protein Shake

Since I love smoothies and protein shakes so much, I felt the need to try and transform a protein shake into a Thai iced coffee protein shake that would have all the same flavor of regular Thai iced coffee.

Except this one has a base of chocolate protein powder.

Because… why not?

And chocolate makes anything better.

Thai Iced Coffee Protein Shake

Thai iced coffee is traditionally made with sweetened and condensed milk or heavy cream, but I opted to try and keep this lite (it is a protein shake after all) and went for the unsweetened almond milk and more than enough servings of instant espresso coffee powder.

Where the real Thai flavor comes from with this recipe is the ground cardamom and almond extract. Then pair that with a chocolate protein shake and coffee and you’re set for the entire day!

Make this for breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up and you’ll thank me later.
