I love fall. Mostly, now, because I get to enjoy the beautiful change of season that I didn’t get while living in Florida.
Also because it’s apple season here and I’ve gone apple picking each year so far.
The only problem is that I always pick a huge bushel of honey crisp apples and then don’t know what to do with all of them.
I think my eyes are bigger than my stomach and brain when I’m out in the orchard, plus it’s fun to pick apples with the kiddos.
I started with making a huge batch of apple pancakes to freeze and eat in the mornings.
Then in an effort to figure out something to do with all the other apples I have at home now, I came up with a sweet protein shake that tastes just like apple pie.
Who doesn’t love apple pie??
Apple Pie Protein Shake
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 apple sliced, peel on
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup ice
- Add all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth and desired consistency is reached.
