Making your own dressing at home is simple and easy and much healthier than store bought!
There really is nothing better than homemade dressing…
Especially when said dressing includes one of your favorite foods of all time. Avocado!
I never used to make my own dressing before but have recently started since discovering how simple and easy it was to do.
And of course, the unlimited flavor combinations that you can come up with on your own instead of relying on what they decided to sell in the stores.
Also, homemade dressing is much healthier for you since you know exactly what ingredients are going into it. No high fructose corn syrup or artificial anything.
Just regular ingredients that you purchased yourself – not to mention making your own dressing is much cheaper.
Anyway, since avocados are one of my favorite foods and ranch dressing is probably my favorite dressing it felt only natural to combine the two. So I give you avocado ranch dressing… made from scratch!
I made it to put on top of some burgers that we were having for dinner that night but it can really be used to add to anything. Salads, burgers, tacos, whatever your little heart desires.
- 1 medium avocado peeled and cored
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 2 Tbsp fresh chives
- 2 Tbsp dried dill
- 2 Tbsp dried parsley
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- 1 tsp green hot sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- Add all ingredients into food processor and process until smooth.
- Add salt and pepper to taste and process again.
- Spoon into your favorite jar and enjoy!
