We’re back with another installment of “my favorite apps“!

Everyone uses their phone a ton, me included, to take and share photos on the interwebs. Most people also edit those photos… at least a little bit.

I never really edit my photos too much but just enough to make the colors pop and brighten the image.

Favorite Photo Editing Apps

As I mentioned in my previous apps post, I take most of my photos on my large DSLR and then am able to transfer them via WiFi to my phone when I want to share them immediately. If I don’t need share them immediately then I’ll upload and edit them at home but for those random times when I don’t want to wait these are the apps that I use to edit those photos.

I do, however, definitely edit all the photos that I take with my phone. No matter how amazing the latest phone camera is you will never get the same quality you can get from a DSLR. Plus, if you’re one of those that likes to have a cohesive IG feed then you’ll have to edit a little to make all the photos look similar.

So let’s go! All of my favorite photo editing apps…

PS Express App
PS Express App

This is my favorite photo editing app for my phone. It has a lot of the same great editing features of the desktop version but conveniently located in an app. You can adjust everything from brightness and contrast to color and hue and everything in between.

Plus, it’s free!

Adobe Lightroom App
Adobe Lightroom App

This is my newest app and also my current favorite. I love that I can upload a photo to the computer, edit it and then it will sync to my phone or vice versa. Plus you can add presets (kind of like filters), if you use them, to add to your photos.

You also have full control over editing capabilities – like brightness, contrast, tone, color, etc.

Foodie App

This app is great for applying a IG like filter to your photos and having them all look the same. You don’t have as much control as Photoshop or Lightroom but you can at least adjust the filter intensity.

HypeType App
HypeType App

This app makes sweet little videos out of your photos with their text overlays. You can also blur the background and change colors and fonts. It’s a sweet little tool for creating blog post banners for IG.

Spark Post App
Spark Post App

Adobe Spark Post is the fun, fast and easy way to create stunning graphics for all occasions. Get started in seconds with professionally designed templates you can tweak with just a few taps. Pick your photos, add text and apply Design Filters to instantly create beautiful, eye-catching graphics. Each tap gives you completely new layout, color palette, typography style and filter—no design experience required.

Photofy App
Photofy App

This app I just use to create fun text overlays for my IG stories from time to time. They have a great selection of fonts and overlays for images so you can really make your photos stand out.

Use Filters, Light Effects, Photo Mirror, Text with 90+ free fonts, Meme editor, Collage maker with over 75+ free layouts, consumer and business templates and the world’s largest collection of overlay content (50,000+ graphic elements).

This one is similar to Photofy where you can add text and different overlays to your photos. I use those two interchangeably as they both offer slightly different things.

There you have it… my favorite apps for photo editing.

Do you have a favorite app I didn’t mention that you use for photo editing?
