So I have to admit that this is more of a “cheater” recipe. I call it that because it is literally so easy to make that it really shouldn’t even be a “recipe.”
I’ve made a couple cheater recipes before so here we are with another, and here it is: the Shirley Temple Champagne recipe.
Shirley Temple’s were my favorite drink when I was a kid. I always felt so cool ordering one when we would go out to eat thinking that I was like one of the only people in the world that knew what a Shirley Temple was. haha
Now that I’m an adult, my kids haven’t really taken to the Shirley Temple as I did but every now and again they will ask for me to make them one.
Or occasionally order one when going out to eat. When I was a kid, that’s all I would order to drink.
However, since I’m all adult now, I felt it only necessary to make an adult version of the Shirley Temple. Complete with champagne instead of lemon-lime soda. And seriously, who doesn’t love a red or pink drink?
So head out and grab some grenadine and champagne next time your at the grocery store and make yourself one of these.
They’re a perfect quick drink for New Year coming up or even Valentine’s Day for your sweetie because that color is perfect!
